Each year members and volunteers of EKK arrange a get-together to meet its well-wishers face to face and share the dream. It is also a chance for the members of EKK to listen to the new ideas from the well-wishers. For us Bengalis, there can not be a better occasion for such a meeting other than "Bijoya Sommiloni".This is also an opportunity for the members and well wishers of EKK to show their cultural richness.
Bijoya Sommiloni: 2010 
24th October 2010 will be remembered by the members and well-wishers of Eso Kichu Kori as the day when each of them took their own part to pay tribute to the 150 years of immortality of Rabindranath Tagore. On the occasion of "Bijoya Sommiloni" almost all of the EKK members and volunteers got together at the Tamarind, a south Kolkata restaurant and all of them joined each other to arrange a homely cultural programme and met with new faces. The main event of the day was "Roktokorobee" performed by EKK members and volunteers. EKK got enriched by a lot of well-wishers joining the EKK family and started their relationship with EKK on that day. The whole day was fun filled and enjoying with the delicious lunch at the end.
Bijoya Sommiloni: 2009
Keeping the tradition going for the fourth year, on 4th October 2009 EKK family members met together at the Tamarind, a south Kolkata restaurant for Bijoya Sommiloni. Most of the regular members, well-wishers and associated people who could come to attend this annual gathering did not miss the occasion. Many of them came along with their family. Some new faces were there. Some of the students whom EKK has encouraged over these years also joined on that day. This was a homely gathering with delicious lunch and obviously with lot of fun, chat, “adda” and music. Every member showed their cultural richness in music, recitation and dance. Also, the kids joined the adults in singing and dancing. Everybody shared their view about how to carry out EKK’s activities in a more effective and efficient way and shape up the lives of underprivileged students. Apart from these serious discussions, lots of funny moments of togetherness made this day memorable to all who attended. |
