Dear well wisher of EKK ,
"Eso Kichu Kori" started its journey on 15th February 2007 (registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act) with the aim of providing support for higher education to economically challenged but academically brilliant students.
We have taken up a focused action plan ( through Project Medha and Project Sopan) for not only helping the needy meritorious students for their higher education but also encouraging them for giving leadership for their community development.
In the first year we could encourage 24 students for their higher secondary education and one student each for Medical and Engineering studies. With the tremendous support and encouragement from all of you we could meet the requirement. It is a Herculean task to continue these projects and cater the need of the society and without your continuous cooperation it is not possible to carry forward. The result of the Madhyamik Examination (2008) is expected shortly and we request your good self to come forward and donate generously for the cause. Your little contribution will be a great help for these potential human resource of the country.

At the moment as this society is not having the necessary permission form Govt. of India to receive foreign contributions we are not in a position to receive donations from foreign agencies or Cheques from foreign banks, NRE Cheques or remittances through orgs like remit2India. So far best of our knowledge, it requires at least three years to get this permission subject to some conditions. We deeply regret if any inconvenience caused to any one by this complicated procedure.
